On Sunday, March 3rd over 200 bowlers participated in the 14th Annual Bowling for the Brave, sponsored by Hazle Township Fire and Rescue, at Chacko’s Family Bowling Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Teams from all over northeastern Pennsylvania competed for the coveted Robeson Cup and bowled in support of first responders fighting cancer.
The Scranton Fire Department defended their title once again by capturing first place and taking home the championship trophy named in honor of fallen Scranton Fire Captain James Robeson who lost his life serving the City of Scranton in 2008.
In the 14 year history of Bowling for the Brave, over 2,500 bowlers have helped raise over $250,000 in support of first responders fighting cancer.
The Foundation 58 team thanks Chacko’s Family Bowling Center, Hazle Township Fire and Rescue, Century 21 Realtor John Polifka of Nanticoke, all of our event sponsors, and all event participants for making the 14th Annual Bowling for the Brave another great success! We look forward to a historic 15th Annual Bowling for the Brave next year!
