OUR MISSION

Foundation 58 is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, established in memory of Deputy Fire Chief Gabriel A. Mhley, dedicated to providing support services to first responders throughout the United States. Foundation 58 seeks to educate first responders about health risks caused by duty related exposures, provide equipment and programs to prevent risks, and assist first responders facing a health crisis due to exposure.

GABRIEL A. MHLEY GRANT PROGRAM

Foundation 58 cares about first responders battling cancer. Through this program we provide financial assistance to first responders who are actively undergoing treatment for cancer.

CANCER PREVENTION PROGRAM

Foundation 58 cares about preventing cancer. We proudly offer a cancer preventative gear and equipment program. Grants are primarily awarded as the outcome of event participation, but you can also apply for a grant below.

AWARENESS PROGRAM

Foundation 58 cares about educating first responders on the increased health risks caused by duty related exposures. We proudly partner with other organizations to host workshops related to cancer, post-traumatic stress, suicide prevention, and drug and alcohol addiction Request a workshop for your team or department. Foundation 58 will fund programs in full.

HEALTHY HYDRATION PROGRAM

Hydration is critical in rescue response. Foundation 58 cares about ensuring first responders stay properly hydrated. Through our Healthy Hydration program we donate bottled water to first responder organizations.
